Robin Taubin has joined The Sage Colleges Board of Trustees.
Robin Taubin graduated with honors from Russell Sage College in 1974. She then graduated from Hofstra Law School and joined Chicago Title Insurance Company, where she handled large multistate transactions for Fortune 500 companies, major law firms, insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions. She joined the legal department of Gulf & Western Industries, Inc., in 1981 and became head of its real estate department in 1985, responsible for corporate and subsidiary real estate matters worldwide. She continued to lead the real estate department through Gulf & Western’s transition to Paramount Communications, Inc., its subsequent merger with Viacom, Inc., and the acquisitions of Blockbuster and CBS. With each transition, she took over the responsibility for the respective real estate operations, including network television, radio broadcast and cable operations. Prior to her retirement from Viacom in 2003, she also served as general counsel to the Viacom Outdoor Division.
Today, Robin Taubin is a member of the auxiliary board of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where she serves as the vice chair of the executive committee. She has also worked with the William H. Ryan Community Health Center on fundraising events; served as vice chair of the committee on voluntary initiatives for the United Hospital Fund and sat on its subcommittee that provided grants to not-for-profit health care institutions; and served as the volunteer liaison for an intergenerational program between the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale and the Fieldston School.
