Athletics’ Ann King to Become First Female President of D3SIDA

Ann KingDirector of Athletics Communications Ann King has been selected as the president of the NCAA Division III Sports Information Directors Association for the 2019-2020 academic year. She will be the first female to serve as the D3SIDA president.

King has been director of athletics communications at Sage for 10 years. She was previously sports information director at The College of New Jersey and at her alma mater, Drew University.

At Sage, King is responsible for all aspects of sports information for 17 varsity sports, including programs, the athletics department web site and social media. Sixteen of her publications have received College Sports Information Directors of America awards. During her 33 years in the profession, she has also mentored several students who have gone on to careers in intercollegiate athletics and at ESPN, and has been involved in activities to advocate for females in the profession.

Her extensive professional service includes service as chair of the NCAA’s Division III-College Sports Information Directors of America Strategic Communications Committee; as a member of the NCAA Media Coordination Advisory Board; and as one of the females to serve on CoSIDA’s board of directors. She has also received several awards, including the 2018 CoSIDA Mary Jo Haverbeck Trailblazer Award, which is presented annually to a sports information professional who has helped improve ethnic and gender diversity within the field.
